Printmaker Emma McLellan explores decorative images of historical fabrics and wallpapers overlaid with hybrid animals.

Emma McLellan’s curious hybrid beasts and birds reflect her hybrid print practice embracing replication. Her works references many print metaphors, the unique, the copy, the matrix, the edition.

Her work is gaining a reputation and she has been in shows this year in Christchurch and last year in the Wallace Awards. Internationally in the last 12 months she has been in shows in France, Canada, Spain and Bulgaria.
