LATE 05: "Our Virtual Identity" investigates how our increasing convergence with technology is reshaping our identity.
The evening features music by Manuel Bundy, indie-pop sensation Lawrence Arabia and New Zealand Laureate award-winning sound artist Phil Dadson – who will perform as the EARS trio with John Bell and Paul Winstanley
The evening’s panel discussion, moderated by Findlay Macdonald, explores whether the pursuit of identity has become virtual, and is this simply an ongoing evolutionary step in human development? Panellists include technology writer Nat Torkington; Russell Brown of Public Address; and Dr Wayne Hope, Associate Professor of Communication Studies at Auckland University of Technology.
