In the Pink turns 10 in 2009

In The Pink , the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation's annual fashion extravaganza is being held at SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre on Friday 26 June and fashionistas must be there!

Guests are treated to a night of spectacular fashion from New Zealand’s leading designers including Adrienne Winkelmann, Carlson, Cybèle, Helen Cherry, Liz Mitchell, Rebecca Taylor, World and Zambesi. This year there’s something for the fashion –conscious man in your life too with World Man and Zambesi Man showcasing the best of their collections.

It’s not every event that can celebrate ten years of turning heads so we are delighted to have the supremely talented singer & songwriter Anika Moa as our entertainer for the night. If you haven’t seen Anika Moa live you are in for a treat. Anika will fly here from her base in Australia especially for In The Pink.

The In the Pink experience starts with cocktails at 6.30pm and finishes around 11 pm after a spectacular evening of fashion, feasting, and entertainment. A sumptuous two course meal by SKYCITY Chefs will be followed by Donovans specialty chocolates, served together with complementary wines.

The Master of Ceremonies for the event is singer and performer Jackie Clarke who will apply her no-nonsense brand of humour and hi-jinks to set the tone for the evening.

In the Pink is also famous for its “must have” auction which always has money-can’t-buy experiences and dream ticket items for sale.

All funds raised go towards The Foundation’s Special Projects Fund which has pledged to raise $400,000 before the end of June for a new Full Field Digital Mammography Unit for Counties Manukau DHB.

The auction items in 2009 are a fantastic collection of prizes and experiences, including a VIP package to a designer runway show at Air New Zealand Fashion Week. Keep an eye on our website for more auction items which we will update as the event draws closer. There are also incredible prizes to be raffled on the night.
