The APO is opening its doors to the entire Auckland community, welcoming concert enthusiasts and curious first-timers for a day of music interaction.
The first-ever APO Open Day will give you unprecedented access inside one of the country’s leading arts organisations.

This all-ages event will also feature a rare opportunity to see the APO’s Music Director Eckehard Stier conduct the orchestra not on stage, but at audience level on the Town Hall floor.
Throughout the day there will be scheduled performances from smaller ensembles and chamber groups, as well as on site composition by the APO’s Composer-in-Residence, Chris Adams.
It’s the ultimate all-access pass.
