Misfits and failures – Te Radar’s New Zealand Heroes.
From the men who sparked the great Uranium Rush of the 1960’s, to New Zealand’s first aeronautical death (years before the Wright brothers even left the earth), to the General who lost his pants and nearly doomed his army after getting lost circumnavigating Mt Taranaki.
Comedian, satirist and raconteur Te Radar celebrates the little-known figures who gave various ventures a red-hot go, but perhaps lost a limb or their life in the process. These champions will never get their face on a bank note, but in Te Radar’s hands they will get a laugh – quite a big one!
With a visual presentation of photographs, maps and other images, Eat the Dog is a hilarious romp through the unturned pages of our history.
