An evening of James Taylor’s music with Graham Wardrop & Tom Rainey.
Graham Wardrop and Tom Rainey have been huge fans of James Taylor for a long time, first performing his songs at Christchurch’s Hagley Park Rotunda way back in 1988. Graham Wardrop has played a large number of Taylor’s songs in his successful career as a solo musician. He will play a range of guitars, some of them he has handmade himself.
Tom Rainey, one of New Zealand’s most respected arranger-musicians will be playing
a variety of keyboard instruments, including the School’s magnificent Cawthron organ.
James Taylor’s songs are renowned for the perfection of vocal and guitar performance and immaculate backing arrangements – all displayed in this Wardrop-Rainey tribute.
Enjoy songs such as, How Sweet It Is, You’ve Got a Friend, Carolina In My Mind and Sweet Baby James.
