Celebrate winter with your friends and family at one of our city's favourite beaches.

If you’re brave, strong or fearless, then make sure you take part in Auckland City Council’s annual Winter Splash event at Mission Bay on Sunday, 12 July from 10am to noon.

There will be entertainment and activities at Selwyn Reserve, including live music and a sausage sizzle, with the swim taking place at 10.30am.

There’s a superhero theme for the swim this year, so come along in costume as there will be prizes for the best-dressed male and female.

There will be a zero-waste policy on the day to reduce the amount of waste disposed in landfill, so do your part for the environment by adopting a “pack in, pack out” attitude and take your waste home with you.
