Rowland captivates his audience with beauty, colour and verve. He renders visually spectacular scenes from our communities yet transcends them to a place where perspective allows foreshortened items to step forward and make a statement on the canvas.

His ability to capture the essence of a place while still incorporating his love for the surreal is something that sets him apart.

‘Light on Life’ documents Mt Eden in all its humour and wonder, the boutique essence of the area is captured, while the sparkle and eccentricities are developed, and mulled over with a sense of loyalty.
