Mystery Girl is super pleased to announce two New Zealand shows by Seattle five piece Fleet Foxes. Since the release of their astonishingly lush sepia-toned debut album - on Sub Pop in June 2008 - the band has received almost universal critical acclaim.
The NZ Herald gave the album five stars and Pitchfork Magazine 9/10 . But it’s not only their harmony drenched record that is awesome; the band’s Pet Sounds inflected “Appalachian folk, classic rock, AM country, and SoCal pop” also translates brilliantly to the live format. As NME writes “you stand, rapt, bathed in the chiming acoustic guitar and mandolin of ‘Blue Ridge Mountains’ or thrilling to Pecknold’s astounding a cappella holler on ‘Oliver James’, your head will be full of nothing but the desire for it not to stop.
