Parachute 09

Get ready for the summer of peace, justice and rock 'n roll. Celebrating its 19th year, Parachute 09 is set to be the hottest spot on the summer calendar. From 23-26 January, Hamilton's Mystery Creek's Events Centre will resound with hits of home and abroad as 150 artists grace six stages over the long weekend.

The all-star line-up includes US Platinum album sellers Casting Crowns, David Crowder Band, our very own national treasure Dave Dobbyn, Portland rockers Kutless and Atlanta's crazy crunk rockers, Family Force Five.

Representing the local troops are locals Parachute Band, Rapture Ruckus, pop punkers Mumsdollar, Nathan King, Kingston, All Left Out and many more. With six stages catering to every genre from the sounds of the Pacifika and urban soul on the Massive Stage, to the White Elephant's alt-inde menu, P09 brings the noise for every music fan.

As well as music, P09 brings the A to Z of activities, with it's very own short film fest, late night comedy, village markets, seminar programme, skate park, over '40s tea party, paintball, '80s disco, Kiwiana party and much much more.
