The festival has become an integral part of summertime in Nelson.
The reasons are simple – loads of sunshine, world-class musicians and The festival is packed with over 70 events, over five days, including seven concerts, five park events, four master classes, over 35 performances at scheduled venues and more than 15 street performances.
The Jazzfest attracts over 25,000 spectators to the five park performances held throughout Nelson and Tasman and to a mixture of public and commercial venues to enjoy the talents of entertainers and musicians from all over NZ and beyond over a full five day programme.
Many well-known NZ and overseas artists and bands have performed alongside local bands, school bands and invited soloists. Launching the festival with a free public concert at Fairfield Park, Nelson.
