Good wine, like good music, engulfs the mind and body. Taking us to a special magical place, giving a gentle inner peace. They usually go hand in hand with someone you love

Good wine and good music are both great rewards at the end of a busy day. The reward is enhanced many times when they go together.

In Hawkes Bay Wine Country what more could you ask for than great wine with great music - no where else in NZ can you realise this amazing experience.

You can't rest back with a glass of red or white without feeling a little bit classy. Everything becomes an occasion. And when the rich aroma swirls and smooth flavours glide over tongues and down throats, to connoisseurs it is an experience of pure life and art. Likewise for smooth tunes and impassioned melodies. Far from being a hard collection of notes, chords, pitch, majors and minors, treble and bass, they too glide and flow into us; our ears know the sonic beauty and our bodies capture the vibrations. Allow them to meet together and this becomes a whole-bodied, enchanting experience, and a haven for weary minds. Fine wine and music. Fine music and wine. All our senses are alive.

Wine opens your mind to the beauty of music and both help you dream, and relax, be happy - or melancholic and sad, which can be quite nice sometimes, too.

With the sun setting over the hill, your loved one by your side, what could be more perfect than listening to fabulous music and having a glass of gorgeous Rose together. Sounds like the perfect summer evening to me!

Music to make your heart sing...wine to make your head sing...or is that music to make you sing in your head, wine to help your heart sing better...?
Or maybe I've just had too much wine...definitely can't be too much music.

There would be nothing better than a glass of Hawkes Bay chardonnay in your hand a warm dusky evening with a slight wind on your face - and the magic of music in your ears.

I was privileged to see Jose Carerras perform in the 1980s in Edinburgh and recently dined at the Elephant Hill winery. What a wonderful combination they will be, what a wonderful evening and what a wonderful memory to have. I loved his signing back then and would dearly love to hear him again, all the more so in such a perfect setting.

Oh. How beautiful, to drink in and be washed by the delectable harmonies these amazing singers produce, and also taste a tantalising or wholesome wine whilst listening. Together, more of the senses are involved. The more senses involved, the more pleasurable and memorable the whole experience is.

Music and wine provide the harmonies of life. The rich full body and aroma is matched only by the rich fullness of the tenor voice. Both together offer an experience one does not want to see finish. The taste and sounds linger not only on the palate but also in the deep receeses of ones mind. Together they embodie all the great things in life
