The next race meeting at Western Springs Speedway on Saturday 31 January is the second round of the International Midget World Series. It is the World 30 Lap Derby featuring defending champion Dave Darland and other top American drivers Jerry Coons Jr, Brad Kuhn, Cory Kruseman and Davey Ray.

Pickens will lead the Kiwi Midget Test team which also includes Brad Mosen, Carl Worboys, Lance Beale, Graham Standring, Shayne Alach and Shaun Insley.

Gates open at 5.00pm and racing starts at 6.45pm.
