The base line is set morph into a bass line at next year’s Heineken Open.
The organisers of New Zealand’s best-known professional tennis tournament have announced there’s going to be an all-comers Base Line After-party on finals day.
Fresh from their recent Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards’ successes, musicians Liam Finn and Recloose Live are ready to get the party going on the back courts after the tennis winners have collected their spoils.
Prior to that, people can watch the live broadcast of the tennis on a mega screen on the back courts. A mere $25 buys general admission tickets to view the on-court tennis action on the big screen and enjoy the atmosphere at the after-party on January 17, 2009.
Five hundred tickets to the Heineken Open Base Line After Party go on sale at Ticketek on Thursday 4 December with further tickets available on the day depending on the size of the crowd remaining after the tennis finishes.
The party kicks off 45 minutes after the men’s singles final ends.
