A night of fresh funky soul relieving grooves, from Auckland based Liquid Colours.

Liquid Colours are an Auckland based 4piece Soul/Funk group. Since forming in July 2007 they have been busy creating smooth grooves and lighting up the dance floor with funky orignals...dammmnn you can't help but pull out your oldschool moves when you hear them pump out favourites like "Brand New Day" and "Mr Funkman" . . .

In the first year since formation they've performed over 60 times, including supporting well known NZ artists such as Opensouls SoundSystem, Tiki Taane, Tahuna Breaks, Recloose, Sons Of Zion, and performed at various festivals and events. As well as having some exciting shows coming up over summer, they are also currently working on their debut album due to be released in early 2009.

Liquid Colours met while studying at MAINZ (Music and Audio Institute of NZ), it started with singer Nastassia and guitarist Joseph needing a drummer and bass player to complete their lineup for a performance based assignment. They weren't expecting to find a perfect match but after the first jam with Sam(drums) and Marika(bass), the four have been inseparable since, each member bringing their own personal flavour to create a fusion of soul/funk/r&b and a taste of jazz.
