We’re the Saudi Arabia of wind!

"Topical, relevant, balanced, funny, well written and researched, acted with vigour, and produced with style." - Lynn Freeman, Capital Times

With the controversial issue of wind farming SEEyD blows another gust of fresh air through Wellington theatre. What happens when a company that’s doing everything it can to save the environment can’t reconcile with an already environmentally conscious family? At first the self-sufficient Gusten household is united in its opposition to erect seventy turbines in their ‘backyard’, but a family secret, erotic fiction, an autistic son, global warming and a most unlikely love story combine to crack their resolve.

Directed by Chapman Tripp Theatre Award Winner 2008 - Director of the Year - Tim Spite

Starring Nick Dunbar, Emma Kinane, Lee Smith-Gibbons and Tim Spite
Sound Design by Gil Eva Craig
Lighting Design by Jennifer Lal

awesome idea.. renewabl;e energy is the way foward and why not harvest some of the wind energy in wellington, so the people not longer call us windy wellington but instead refer to us as "electric wellington!"

It’s very hard to make a decision on what’s right either way. Sustainable energy is the way forward, but we must ask ourselves is it truly sustainable if it has the potential to cause serious impact on our wildlife.

Windmills make sense in a windy city. And as for those who say they're an eyesore, drive up to Woodville in the central north island, round a corner and loe, perched like giant sentinals on the ridge of the hill sit a phalanx of windmills. Brought a tear to my eye...

Wonderful, I love them. When travelling in northern Germany & Denmark they were a great sight, especially seeing them in the distance on the ferry but also driving down a country lane with the towers close by and the blades whirring above. If I could have one in my back yard I would - but despite living in Wellington we are in a sheltered spot.

I think they are a fabulous idea as long as they don't start popping up everywhere and becoming an eyesore!

I think they're definitely a good idea. Renewable energy source that's environmentally friendly. They don't really take up much space and they sure look prettier than pollution does.

Big, bold propellers circling in the wind. I love to watch them.
