Mike Cooper is a virtuoso of the lap steel guitar. For the past 40 years Mike Cooper has been an international musical explorer, performing and recording, solo and in a number of inspired groupings and a variety of genres. He has performed with John Lee Hooker, Jimmy Reed, Howling Wolf, Son House, Mississippi Fred McDowell and Bukka White.
Mike Garner lives in Rotorua and made the NZ news last year when the song "Louisiana Hurricane" from his CD, 'Cad's Alley' won 3rd place in the Americana section of the International Song Contest, in Nashville.
