Waikato Times Hamilton Gardens Summer Festival 2009

Set in the stunning Hamilton Gardens, the Summer Festival is a dynamic celebration of arts, culture and entertainment held within 58 hectares of unique gardens. Deservedly Waikato's most popular tourist destination, the Hamilton Gardens, from the living Persian carpet in the Indian Char Bagh Garden to the tranquillity of the Japanese and Chinese Gardens, offer this exciting and vibrant festival a fabulous setting and backdrop.

We invite you to come and enjoy the festival's wide range of performing and visual arts including theatre, music, family events, readers and writers, film, culinary arts, opera and much more.

Check out our special themed events such as 'Lyrica Under the Stars' for a taste of Italian Culture with popular opera in the Medici Court and add an Italian dinner in the Garden Terrace Restaurant to complete your evening, or enjoy a stroll through the Right Bank Arts Festival.

The 2009 event promises to build on the continuing success of the past 11 festivals and will see over 50 events giving more than 85 performances over the 10 days.
