Te Matatini National Kapa Haka Festival is transforming the landscape of the New Zealand performing arts scene.
The 2007 festival, held at Arena Manawatu, Palmerston North attracted an audience of 40,000+. It not only celebrated the indigenous culture and arts of Maori but also encouraged New Zealanders to take pride in the unparalleled event. Haka is part of our history. It is for all of us to share.
During the festival 30 groups competed from across the nation battling for supremacy in Maori Performing Arts. Teams proudly represented the honour of their tribes, their people, their families and their history.

Children 12 years and under are FREE when accompanied by a paying adult.
