Second Matakana MORE FM Winery Tour show announced . . .

Sister of Soul Hollie Smith joins Dave Dobbyn and Anika Moa for a one off concert at Ascension Wine Estate in Matakana.

Civic Events is pleased to announce a second Matakana show for The MORE FM Winery Tour, bringing the number of shows to 17 nationwide for the month of February ‘09.

After the sellout success of the 6 February show featuring Dave Dobbyn, Anika Moa and Opshop, the promoters have announced a second show on Thursday 5 February at Matakana’s Ascension Wine Estate.

“After selling out the first Matakana gig in just weeks, it made perfect sense to add another show for the Waitangi Weekend music lovers.” says co-promoter Brent Eccles. “We’ve been fielding calls daily from people still trying to get tickets, so decided to give those who missed out the opportunity to get in on the second round”.

This is the second show on the MORE FM Winery Tour to sell out with Black Barn Vineyard’s Friday 13 February show selling out two weeks ago.

Hollie Smith has recently recorded a version of the 1987 Herbs hit - “Sensitive To A Smile” interpreting it for current and future generations. Smith is looking forward to playing what will now be the debut show on the MORE FM Winery Tour for 2009.

”I've never played Matakana before but love going up North, I've have only heard good things and am very much looking forward to it.”
