The Reputations is a vintage soul-groove band that grew up taking their cues from legendary soul and rhythm and blues shows of the 1960s. Based in Auckland, New Zealand, The Reputations combine local musicians with those from San Francisco, Hawaii, Kingston and London.

The line up includes: vocalist Meredith Bean (various bands throughout the US, Troubadour in NZ); Steven Shaw on bass (Garageland, Heavy Jones Trio); on keys Dominic Blaazer (SJD, Don McGlashan, The Hit List); drummer Earl Robertson Jr. III (City Newton Bombers, The Hit List); on guitars Ben Eldridge (Reduction Agents, Dictaphone Blues) and Iain Greenstreet (Polaar, Tim Finn). Plus on horns, Ben Campbell (dDub), Ed Geddes (the Instigators) Charlotte Rose (D.C.Fontana – UK).
