Pacific Entertainment presents multi-Grammy awarded jazz, soul and R&B legend, Ms Roberta Flack and her band, for concerts in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch in Feburary 2009.

Don't miss the beautifully performed timeless signature tunes from one of the most significant and celebrated artists, Ms Roberta Flack, on this very special tour with her band.

The only female recipient of consecutive Song of the Year Grammy Awards, Roberta received her first triple Grammies in 1973 for Song and Record of the Year with The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face and Best Pop Vocal by a Duo for Where Is The Love (duet with Donny Hathaway). Roberta earned another three Grammies in 1974 for Record and Song of the Year and Best Pop Vocal by a Female for Killing Me Softly With His Song.

Her sophisticated banquet of romantic classic hits also includes Feel Like Makin' Love, Where is the Love, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, The Closer I Get To You, Tonite I Celebrate My Love, Trade Winds, Don't Make Me Wait Too Long, Only Heaven Can Wait, Oasis, 'Til The Morning Comes, And So It Goes, Back Together Again, Jesse, You Are My Heaven and Set The Night To Music.

She is an outspoken advocate for artists' rights and a passionate believer in inspiration as a catalyst for education. The Roberta Flack School of Music offers disadvantaged young people from the Bronx, opportunities to express themselves through creative experiences and accepts students at no cost. It is just one of the many 'hands on' projects where Roberta gives back and is entirely funded by donations.

Roberta shows no signs of slowing down her touring schedule having performed in Turkey, Argentina, Japan and recently South Africa before heading to Australia and New Zealand in early 2009.

whats killing me softly is that if my husband doesnt take all the hints I have been giving about buying tickets for this concert even just one for me I am not going to see roberta in the flesh and listen to roberta live. He has gone off chick concerts after I forced him to the alesha keyes concert, I thought she was awesome. Back to Roberta, whats also killing me softly is hope and pray I win these tickets then I could prove to my hubby that Roberta is no chick she is a "diva"

O.M.G what a dream come true to be able to sit in seats and roll to the beat of Roberta Flack's music and lyric's. Every womens heart beat is to be and feel loved. What is LOVE? we search in so many places and when we think wev'e found it we loose it, fear creeps in disillusion starts to begin we loose face and stop believing in ourselves our hearts become fragile is this not killing me softley. We pick ourselves up yet to be hurt again this is killing me sofetly.
We fall in love, yet we can't have that love.

My mother absolutely adores Roberta Flack. I remember as a child my mum singing her melodies as she happily went about the housework! One of the most selfless, humble and generous people on this earth, my mother is truly my mentor. What kills me soflty is the thought of not being able to repay her in every which way she deserves. Having sacrificed so much to ensure us (6) children were brought up in the best way possible - instilling good values, being proud of who we are, knowing where and who we came from yet remaining humble. I want her to know I am always thinking of her when Im not with her and that I love her so very much. Um I would love to have the opportunity to take my mother to this concert. It would be that time I would have alone with my mum when I am otherwise tending to my own family and children. Would be the perfect opportunity to tell her then how I am so grateful that she is my mother.

    kills me softly...
when i've done something stupid again, and someone gives me a kind glance without words...just a look of acceptance to say it'll be ok! Even if i have to endure consequences that look weakens the blow...gives me hope that in the end! It will all be fine! Hopefully! haha

whats killing me softly, is the day to day expenses of essential needs. Everything is soo expensive these days. I cant afford to go to the concert, I missed out on raggamuffin which was so unfortunate, and would absolutely love to win tickets to Roberta Flack. Could you please give me the opportunity to get out of the house, and into the infamous Roberta Flacks concert.....Thanks heaps guys and gals.

...with his tender and compassionate heart. His excellence in terms of loving me puts me to shame - not in a bad way but in a way that makes me become better than I was before. False pride and arrogance are killed off and in their stead there is humility and steadfastness, loyalty and a deeper love than I could ever have imagined would exist between two people, this side of heaven. We have been married for 24 years and it gets better, and richer.

Havin been thru a long relationship of abuse to leave with two kids who are just as damaged as I. Then meet someone years later who treats you in a way you never have experienced, that you feel safe and respected enough to let down the guard that protects your fragile heart. Believing that they want to be a friend and who knows maybe even a lover. Texts calling you lover and hotty and how great you are. Having him hold you and feel safe for the first time in a long long time. Then to have that special someone get scared because you come to see that he's just as damaged as you are. Having all his insecurities from past relationships put onto you when you show him over and over again that you;re not like the others. who have hurt him. To be now left feeling numb with disgust at yourself for letting down the guard and thinking that maybe he was the one for you. Then when you ask for clarification of the relationship he calls it all off killing me softly with pain for him.

What is "killing me softly" is the realisation that our 4 kids (5 - 11 years old) are growing up so fast.I dread the day when their friends opinion means more to them than mine and when they nolonger want to spend time with us. In the meantime we are making the most of our time together with the kids and hope that at the end of the day the kids know that they are loved unconditionally and we will always be there for them.

Seeing someone you love hurting, and not being able to help - realising you can't always fix it for them. "Killing me softly" sung by this amazing lady has the same effect on the heart strings.
