See NZ’s own diva of pop, rock and soul perform with the NZSO for one night only in Auckland!

Tina Cross in Nothing But Dreams, with Special Guests and the NZSO. Proudly Sponsored by TVNZ.

Nothing but Dreams launched Tina Cross’ successful musical career when that catchy pop song won first-place at the 1979 Pacific Song Contest.

The NZSO in collaboration with well known Music Director Carl Doy have invited Tina Cross and singers Grant Sullivan and Bella Kalolo (best known from their TV appearances on TVNZ’s Dancing with the Stars) to join them for one night only in Auckland to perform a programme of popular music that will delight fans of all ages.

As well as Tina and special guests performing hits such as Nothing but Dreams, Night on Disco Mountain , Final Countdown, Young Hearts Run Free, Cry Me A River, Carl Doy and the NZSO will play arrangements of popular music by great 20th century melody-makers, along with songs from the worlds of Broadway, Latin America, soul and rock. There will also be a special Phantom of the Opera Medley in tribute to the late great Rob Guest.

The NZSO look forward to taking you on this musical journey! Book now to ensure you don’t miss out!

My dream would be to be me - a free spirit, spending 6 months a year cruising the Greek Isles, the Caribbean, the Bahamas on a "Super Yacht" returning to New Zealand for 6 months to be 'grounded' then off again to the Mediterranean and other foreign seas, eternal summers, heavenly - and so on adfinitum.

My dream would be to have all my friends and family in one place for my wedding. We are divided between Canada and New Zealand with a scattering around the rest of the world and the chance of getting everyone in one place would be next to impossible. If only money and time were not an issue.

My dream would be, whenever I meet someone, to be able to know their hopes and aspirations and then make their dreams come true. Just to see the look on their face. Then go onto the next person and fulfil their dreams. And the next person. And keep going until everyone has their dream. That would be my dream fulfilled.

My dream is to adopt a child from Russia or the Ukraine and give her/him a good start in life. There are around 100,000 neglected children in this part of the world and I just wish it was easier for myself and other's to adopt because some of these children spend their entire lives living in orphanages. I would love to see Tina Cross sing with the NZSO, I remember when she sang "Nothing but Dreams" at the Pacific Song Contest and the whole family knew it was a winner. But we also remember THAT DRESS she wore, it was magnificent. She was wearing a stunning dress long before Liz Hurley came on the scene and wore her Gianni Versace 'Safety Pin' Dress that wowed everyone in1994, well Liz, Tina was way ahead of you!

My dream is to travel the world continuously - to meet people all over the world and indulge in their culture. It would be to help humanity, help build schools and teach children about the art of learning and absorbing all there is to know. It would be to share the knowledge that I currently have, as well as the knowledge I would gain from travelling the world. No restrictions to this dream!

Tina Cross and Carl are such icons of the N Z Music industry! A great combination with the excellent NZSO, and other gust artists. This will be a real treat to attend.
While the world around us is still mired in negativity from the financial crisis, Dreams and Hope for the future are what gets us through it. Positivity is what will bring us the future we dream of.
On a personal scale, taking my lovely Partner to this Show would be a wonderful gift. she has a real musical background, and it means a great deal to her to be able to attend shows. But there is a limit to what we can afford to do of course!

Well my last dream was more a nightmare, thank goodness when I finally woke up I realised it wasn't true! My daydreams are much more pleasant though too numerous to share. But I guess my biggest dream is shared by most people the world over - PEACE - and what better time to wish for this dream to come true but at Christmas.
