Auckland International Buskers Festival 2009

A dynamic group of International Street Performers will be hitting the streets of Auckland for the ninth time over Waitangi weekend 2009. Acrobats, jugglers, mime, magicians, pavement artist, comedians amongst many others come together to create an exciting and lively atmosphere that is the Auckland International Buskers Festival.

The festival runs from Wednesday 4 – Sunday 8 February 2009. Day shows start every day at 12noon. Night shows run on Thursday, Friday , Saturday from 7.00pm to 11.00pm and Sunday 8 February from 5.00pm to 9.00pm, Market Square in the Viaduct Harbour.

Zip on your best clapping hands, firm up your stomping boots and dive down the back of the couch for a handful of loose change. From the Viaduct to Aotea Square the streets will be transformed into a playground for some of the world’s most talented International Street Performers. So grab yourself a nice long lunch at any of our Heart of Auckland, the BIG little city locations and experience the world of madness and mayhem that is The Auckland International Buskers Festival of 2009.
