Celebrate the romance of Valentine’s Day at Auckland’s most popular outdoor concert picnic, featuring arias, classical and not so classical music!
Join international tenor Simon O’Neill, the beloved mezzo-soprano Helen Medlyn and the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra for a Valentine’s Day filled with wonderful music and song. The APO returns to gardens of Government House, Mt Eden – the residence of visiting British Royalty – for the 26th APO Summer Matinee.
Spread your blanket, bask in the sunshine and relax as the APO performs music by Rossini, J Strauss, Puccini, Tchaikovsky, Lehár and Valentine’s Day offerings both serious and hilarious.
Bring your own picnic basket, or purchase a gourmet hamper designed by Dawson’s Catering.
