Pearl Izumi Half Ironman

Entries are open for the 2009 Pearl Izumi Taupo Half Ironman.
Take the challenge of the 2km swim, 90km ride and 21km run as a solo or in a team.
If you're training for Ironman 2010, then this is the lead-up event to do - the swim in the crystal clear waters of Lake Taupo is exactly half of the Ironman swim course and the cycling and running leg also mirror the Ironman route.
Taupo Half Ironman is also officially sanctioned by Triathlon NZ as being a qualifying race for the world long course triathlon championships.
Get your workmates together and enter as a team - businesses who enter 4 teams will get a 5th entry for free.
School teams are also encouraged - each school team that enters will go in the draw to win $1000 for the school.
There's money up for grabs for individuals too - the fastest runner, swimmer and cyclist in each of the legs will receive $250.
Individual entries cost $195 and team entries cost $240.
