Taupo’s summer music festival kicks off on New Year’s Eve at Riverside Park Unison Amphitheatre.
In addition to the traditional fireworks, the free New Year’s Eve concert will feature cover bands Triple J and Sharmin while the Lightning Rider will produce 2 metre long lightning bolts from the tips of his fingers.
Triple J has played internationally and to crowds of 30,000 in Cathedral Square while Sharmin will wow crowds with music from ‘The Eagles’ through to ‘Living Colour’ with their stunning musical talent and arrangement and tight harmonies.
Food and coffee will be available at the venue - an alcohol ban is in place.
