West Coast Swing, an American Street Dance, has evolved in the past half century from the more commonly known retro-style of swing, the Lindy Hop. It can be danced to most of the music played on the radio today and incorporates many dance elements of Hip Hop and Jazz. Although a partner dance, WCS allows each individual the freedom to bring their own steps and style to the dance. Its increasing popularity makes it one of the fastest growing dance styles of today.
