The Two Daves

Having first met playing a one off wedding gig as ring-ins for a band in January 2007, Dave & Dave caught up again nearly a year later at a renowned Cafe 121 Thursday night session in Ponsonby, Auckland... ensuing jams and general malarchy of a musical nature led to a rapid-yet-sedimentary-like formation of the duo `the too daves´ also known as `the two daves´ or `jasmine and betty´...

Khan is the consumate musician playing violin, mandolin, guitar, singing and rumour has it he wields a banjo at times... this is only speculation and is yet to be confirmed or otherwise... Alley also dabbles in many instruments from the stringed ranged and those of a percussive nature such as the middle eastern darbuka & celtic bodhran as well as being an harmonica playing singer-songwriter with a steadily growing repertoire of thoughtfully penned 2 minute pop songs...
Khans background of jazz, celtic and all shades of American folk including an amazing blues repetoire combined with Alleys plethora of influences and original works makes for an unparalleled combination which is of course, not too be missed; forthwith and forever more to be known herein by the acronym (because all things these days must have an acronym if they´re to be really taken seriously) NTBM!
