Great Barrier MTB Marathon

This is a fun and challenging event open to anyone with a mountain bike. But you better do some training! Beginners, novices, veterans and elite riders are all invited to come out and enjoy a great weekend of riding/racing and exploring.

The Great Barrier Island is in the Hauraki gulf 90k north east of central Auckland. This rugged unspolit island is a paradise in the ocean with large areas of native bush and amazing coastlines and beaches.

All courses have a combination of Dirt roads, Sealed roads, Forest trails, 4WD trail and Single track. This course will put a big smile on your face.

The 80k is epic in its climbing/descending and variation of terrain and covers nearly all of the island. The 40k and 25k are also challenging and follow the first part of the 80k course.

Open to riders 14yrs and above.
Please note: 14 - 17yrs may only enter the 40k and 25k event.
18yrs+ can enter the 80k/40k/25k.
