Venue Change
Our:House is pleased to announce a change of venue for New Years Eve 2010. Originally planned to be held at the Civic - it will now take place in the Aotea Centre’s NZI Rooms. Feedback about the venue has been so positive that the promoters felt the change would only add to the glamorous party vibe for New Year’s Eve. It is fully air-conditioned and features two very large indoor dance floor spaces so you needn't worry about the notoriously shifty NYE weather, although there will of course be a marquee for smokers in a garden courtyard.
About Hed Kandi
With over 4 million album sales worldwide, Hed Kandi has become the most popular house music label on the planet. Hed Kandi events take place in some of the hottest spots around the globe. From massive arenas to V.I.P. parties, Hed Kandi has entertained thousands from London to New York, Paris to Tokyo, Rio to Ibiza and beyond. Extravagant production and attention to detail are what make Hed Kandi stand out from the rest. The shows have an international reputation as THE party event, featuring world-famous original artwork, outlandish decor, stylish performers and a hand-picked team of leading international DJs.
About Fred Falke Since dropping the anthem that is 'Intro' in 2000 with his long-time production partner Alan Braxe, French producer Fred Falke has released a steady stream of tunes and, more recently, a clutch of excellent remixes. A listen to his take on Whitest Boy Alive's 'Golden Cage' leaves you dancing, crying, reminiscing about past loves, and overall just feeling warm and fuzzy. Warm is a nice word when describing Falke's production style. Tunes like '909pm At The Beach' bounce along nicely at around 120 bpms, coaxing you peacefully to the dancefloor; a nice respite in these days of prevalent, hard-as-nails electro. His remix of our own indie superstar Ladyhawke breathes a new life into that tune, and his remix of Roland Clark's 'Music Talking' with it's insistent, repeated vocal 'Its just the music talking to you baby' stirs something in the every house lover.
