The collective that brought you March of the Meeklings, The Storm, Eiffel Tower Wedding Party and A Most Outrageous Humbug return to BATS with a double shot of Shakespeare as part of the ‘Compleate Workes’ Festival.
Three Spoon Theatre hits the stage with Vienna Verona – an exciting project which brings together some of Wellington’s finest young talent for a double-bill season of simultaneously standalone and complimentary productions of Measure for Measure and Romeo and Juliet.
Against a backdrop of urban dystopia, Vienna Verona stages the clash of politics with personal life. With theatrical bravado and their signature quirkiness, Three Spoon’s radical reworking of Shakespeare pushes the boundaries of tragedy and comedy, bringing fresh energy to timeless ideas of love, sex, and authority.
