The scenic out-and-back 21.1 kilometre course on the shores of Lake Taupo caters for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. The MIzuno Half Marathon is a non-commercial event with all proceeds going to support local charities.
The Mizuno Half Marathon is considered one of New Zealand’s most scenic with fantastic views of the mountains and Lake Taupo – the popularity of the event is also due to its non-competitive nature and its suitability for first-time walkers and runners. Entry costs $45 for seniors (aged 20 and over) and $30 for juniors (aged 19 and under) - there is an additional $5 charge for non online entries.
Admission for spectators is, of course, free.
