This heart-warming, poignant production has been written and directed by Kevin Baddiley. WISH ME LUCK is touring the lower North Island during August 2009.
WISH ME LUCK runs for 2 hours with one interval.
WISH ME LUCK is dedicated to New Zealand’s unsung heroes of war. At the outbreak of World War II, 1,630,000 people were living in New Zealand but on the 3rd of September 1939, the lives of those 1,630,000 New Zealanders were never to be the same.
WISH ME LUCK presents genuine insights and glimpses into the lives of the women who remained at home, honouring the sheer gut and determination they displayed to survive these turbulent years.
WISH ME LUCK departs from the traditional narrative story; it is simply a sincere collection of nostalgic moments interspersed with laughter and over thirty familiar songs from the era.
