Experience the latest talent in New Zealand music at the 2009 National Country Music Awards. Acknowledging the best in country music and the new direction it is taking. Kiwi Pro-Am Country Music Org. is proud to present these Awards for the fourth year in Hamilton.

Award winning artists performing live are Ashley Cooper, Cameron Clayton, Melissa Partridge, Hayley Smith, Peter McWhirter (Australia) alongside Eddie Low, Marian Burns and Jodi Vaughan. Hosted by Classic Hits announcer Jason Reeves.

Demand is already high and with tickets selling at a record pace, audiences are urged to book quickly in order to enjoy some of the biggest Legends of New Zealand music and exciting newcomers poised to make history.

Five Awards to be presented will include Country Music Horizon Award, Country Music Legend Award, Country Music Male/Female Artist and Country Music Duo/Group. Hamilton Mayor Bob Simcock, International Director CMA (America) Rob Potts, Country Music Legend Gray Bartlett and Creative NZ Representative Rose Campbell will be on hand to present the awards and - with the likes of the Topp Twins, James RAy, Marian Burns, Ann Pascoe, the Hamilton County Bluegrass Band, Dennis Marsh and more up for honours, it's going to be a magical night.

The countdown to the Awards begins at SKYCITY's Vue Bar, Hamilton with country entertainment on Friday 14th August 8pm. Event Organiser Tania Vollebregt says, "The night is free and open to the public - it'll be the perfect way to kick off the awards with loads of fun! Get out there and gather a group of friends together, listen to great music, meet the artists, get an autograph or even a photo - it'll be a night you'll remember."
