Kelston/Glendene Youth Development Programme

The Kelston/Glendene Youth Club is a new club that will run on wednesday nights at the Kelston community Centre, Waitakere City. With involvement from Vasa Pasifika Creative Learning Trust there is the oportunity for you young people aged 14-19 to get involved in your local community and build a youth club that allows a safe environment to learn personal and professional development skills and get active with weekly physical actvity sessions.
The personal and professional development sessions will cover various topics ranging from cultural identity to health and hygiene to C.V writing and how to live independently. These sessions will be delivered by various youth orientated organisations within the Wataikere region.
With support from Sport Waitakere Vasa Pasifika will initiate physical activity sessions allowing those who are not so active the opportunity to get active. Those who are involved in regular physical activity or sport will have the opportunity to try new and alternative sports.
At the end of the day it will be your club and with support you will be able to make what you want, so get involved and make a difference!!
