Could it really happen ? You’ll look at your local MP in a very different way after “The Party Spirit”. The deviousness and machinations of politicians and lobbyists are exposed in this outrageous and entertaining comedy at The PumpHouse.
The only Member of Parliament representing ’a minor Party’ suffers major discomfort when a by-election winner joins him. Dreams of a Private Members’ Bill being accepted for the betterment of his fellow men seem doomed. Other characters in the action are a permanent back-bencher, a crooked constituent, a bullying member of the Opposition, a “friend” from the local cat-house, Party Whips and Liberty Bill’s secretary / fiancée.
A call of “Party Vote” is enough to rouse any politician from a coma with this lot!
Expense claims revelations in the U. K. House of Commons have special relevance when you see “The Party Spirit”. Will you be sure it couldn’t really happen here ?
