Storylines Free Family Day offers the chance to meet favourite authors and illustrators, performances, the opportunity to hear favourite books read aloud, book launches, arts and craft activities, face-painting – and the chance to share with others the joy and magic in the thousands of books and stories on display or available for purchase. Win prizes by dressing up as a book character or by entering the writing or illustration competitions.
Highlights will be the Weta Workshop, with the WotWots appearing alongside Jane and the Dragon, and full-size models sporting costumes from the Narnia movies.
Over 25 authors and illustrators appear in Auckland, plus Brown Bear Barney celebrates his 21st birthday with a huge cake to share, and we unveil another story about the Little Yellow Digger.
