Having spent the past year performing relentlessly and winning fans from both the all ages and the R18 crowds, Sherpa are set to finally release their debut EP, I’m Sparklers, on August 17th through MUZAI Records.

“I’m Sparklers” charts the past year and a half of the group’s musical output, having honed their exuberant power-pop tinged psychedelia with performances around the North Island and performing at the esteemed Camp A Low Hum in the first half of 2009.

Faced with the arduous task of choosing from a veritable selection of mesmerizing tunes for their first outing, the young three piece found themselves holed up in a recording studio for six months, committing half a dozen of their songs to reel.

So why not have an EP Release! In fact, why not have two! In the space of a few hours! With support from special guests 1995, Fanucman (Wellington) and Strange Beast
