Where: Stardome Observatory & Planetarium, 670 Manukau Rd, One Tree Hill Domain, Royal Oak Show map
Restrictions: All Ages
Website:
Bring the kids into Stardome and enjoy the comfort of the dome theatre as they’re entertained by Aesop the owl and Socrates the mouse. Aesop and Socrates will take them on a journey through space, to tell the animated story of Orion the Hunter. Learn about the importance of Orion’s club, his shield and his belt – which can be seen in New Zealand’s night sky. And learn how many constellations (or groups of stars that join together to make an image) can be seen in our night sky every night.
