An annual celebration of youth music, the 26th KBB Music Festival features adjudicated performances by over 100 music groups from more than 40 Secondary School across the greater Auckland region. The KBB Music Festival is the largest festival of its kind in Australasia involving 3,000 Secondary School students each year!
KBB Music Fringe Festival: Friday 21st August
Featuring performances by groups that are in a more 'developmental' stage and do not wish to participate in the competitive section of the festival. With the aim to provide encouragement and constructive feedback that stimulates better music-making, participating groups will be allocated a 20-minute performance time, followed by a 20-minute onstage workshop with an experienced musical director appointed by the KBBMF.
