The Balloon Nightglow sees the participating balloonists in the Lift Off Levin festival take part in a spectacular evening show featuring their colourful craft lighting up the night in a choreographed performance beginning at 6pm, so don't be late. The gates to the Horowhenua Events Showgrounds open at 3pm and there are food and craft stalls, a walk-in balloon, various attractions, music, some balloon take-offs and landings (weather permitting) in the lead up to the spectacular Nightglow. This is a great family event with a rare opportunity to get up close to these flying giants, or to simply sit back and take in the panorama of colour as the balloons light up the evening sky. The nominated charity for this event is the Asthma Foundation, who will be donated a portion of the gate takings of this popular event on the Horowhenua calendar.
