From the writers of "Les Miserables" , this musical block blockbuster is a love story of epic proportions . Set in war torn Saigon in 1975 , amidst the turmoil of the last days of the Vietnam war , an American soldier and a Vietnamese girl fall in love , only to be separated during the fall of Saigon .
Raw and uncompromising , "Miss Saigon" is an intensly personal story of the losses and sacrifices made in a world gone mad .

Already seen by over 30 million people worldwide , "Miss Saigon" now comes to Christchurch for it's premiere season in New Zealand .

This Christchurch production stars Jihyen Park from New York in the lead role of Kim ,
alongside Matthew Pike as Engineer , Nick Kyle as Chris , Micheal Bayly as John , Charlie Panapa as Thuy , Laura O'loughlin as Ellen , and a superb supporting cast .

Sets , props and costumes are spectacular and the many staging highlights include the dramatic and memorable helicopter evacuation from the roof of the US Embassy.
