Onehunga’s Dolphin Theatre is proud to present the Auckland premier of Scott Colley’s play “When The Reaper Calls” for a 3 week season commencing on Saturday 18th April.
Directed by multi award-winning director, Barry Spring, “When The Reaper Calls” is a funny, yet suspenseful play, full of humour, thrills and twists that will keep audiences laughing, gasping and guessing, right through to the final moment.
Two young university professors who have been friends for years but have very different views on the afterlife, go away for a week-end with their wives. What was meant to be a quiet week-end in a lakeside cabin, turns out to be just the opposite, when a practical joke goes deadly wrong.

Fifteen years after Barry directed the thriller “House Guest” for Dolphin Theatre, which won Best
Production that year, he’s presenting his first Canadian comedy-thriller. “When The Reaper
Calls” has already met with great success in Canada and England, with its fast-paced action
scenes, mystery laced with levity, and its special thrills and chills. Last year Barry directed “The Boys Next Door” which won the award for Best Production at Dolphin Theatre, and also won Best Production at the Auckland Community Theatre Trust Awards.

The talented and experienced cast includes Carl Drake, Dorren Kemeys, Darren Waugh, Tracey Lee Gray, and Shivaun Statham.

“When The Reaper Calls” runs until 9th May and is bound to be a crowd-pleaser, so book early to secure your seats. For further information phone 636-7322 or visit www.dolphintheatre.org.nz
