- The war being waged between the Ugandan government and the LRA is the longest running war in Africa.
- Joseph Kong, leader of the LRA, was the first person indicted by the International Criminal Court
- In an effort to end, once and for all, the atrocities being inflicted by the LRA, lethal force is being taken against the army of child soldiers
- An army that didn't choose to fight, didn't choose to be involved, didn't choose to risk their lives.

On April 25th, 2009 the international community will unite to deliver the innocent from Kony’s reign and ensure he is brought to justice. Thousands of participants will gather in 100 cities across the world to symbolically abduct themselves to free the abducted child soldiers in northern Uganda.

1. Run, don’t walk to your nearest electronic communications device and sign up for The Rescue on April 25th (http://therescue.invisiblechildren.com). We need you and your friends to build the masses and strengthen our voice.
2. Tell everyone you know about this event. We need the masses to gain the attention of the media and politicians nationwide.
3. Join us in Aotea Square from 3pm on April 25th and abduct yourself to free the abducted.

Nine countries. 100 cities. One collective voice: bring the child soldiers home.
