“We say were gonna change and keep thinking about it…but sometimes you know we just can’t help it…”

“Caught Up in the Game” is the blazing debut single from Producer/ Rapper Anonymouz (Matthew Faiumu Salapu).

After many years working behind the scenes in the NZ music industry, the 2008 Pacific Music Awards Phillip Fuemana Most Promising Artist recipient
steps to the foreground with a powerful first up single sure to turn heads and garner widespread interest.

Featuring the exciting up and coming talents of female rapper C’Que and vocal duo Deuce, the head-nodding track, built around a bending string hook and
harmonica, is an insightful look into the issue of ‘change’, and the difficulties encountered in trying to change old perspectives and habits.

Set in the ambience of a garage party conversation, Anonymouz and C’Que trade reflective introspective rap verses regularly punctuated with melodic hooks from Deuce.

Displaying considerable skills behind both production and the microphone, it is no surprise that Anonymouz is a huge Dr Dre and Kanye West fan, ambitiously
aiming to develop and establish a reputation as a credible local equivalent.

The Single Release Party is set for Friday 17th April at Club 420, KRoad. Showcasing artists which Anonymouz has produced and is currently producing including Ermehn, 4 Da Grind, and Graeme Purcell. Supported also by DJ CXL and DJ A+, the night should be a great night for something fresh on the New Zealand HipHop/Urban scene.
