Chamber Music New Zealand presents Romanian born pianist Tamas Vesmas live in concert.
The programme will include:
Beethoven -Bagatelles Opus 126,
Schubert - Sonata in A minor D845
Bartók - Improvisations Opus 20
Debussy - Preludes Book II
Tamas has recorded over 100 concerts with Radio New Zealand Concert and has toured NZ extensively as a soloist, conductor and chamber musician.
Currently, Tamas is Associate Professor of Piano Studies and Chamber Music at the University of Auckland. In addition, he regularly performs overseas.
Tamas Vesmas was born in Romania and began studying piano and composition at the age often. By 14, his career as a soloist began with recitals and appearances throughout Romania. Tamas continued his studies in Paris where he won numerous prizes and performed in major venues. 2008 marks the 25th anniversary of Tamas’ arrival in New Zealand.
