With their new album released on 11 August and currently at No 1 on iTunes, The Black Seeds are pleased to announce the ‘Solid Ground New Zealand Album Release Tour’.

Having just returned from a highly successful European tour which included performances at some of Europe’s biggest music festivals, The Black Seeds will take their new album out on the road this September for a 11-show nationwide tour. This will be the bands first nationwide tour since September 2007.

Solid Ground was recorded at The Surgery Studios in Newtown, Wellington with Dr Lee Prebble and is the follow-up to The Black Seeds’ third album Into The Dojo, which spent five weeks at #1 and reached well over double-platinum sales in New Zealand.

Tickets for all shows will go on sale on Monday 18 August. Tickets for the Hamilton gig can be purchased from Real Groovy, and Amplifier.

When someone comes up behind you and pokes your back-top left, top right then bottom left, bottom right then draws a cross against your back whilst chanting ".....does this make your blood run........" and squeezes your neck yelling "COLD?" Yeah, that's definitely gotta do it!

If I want to cool down...just thinking about the 1000 or so hours of scraping, sanding and painting my Mum's house...inside and out...it sounded so simple and easy when I suggested it as a birthday present.
