Aucklands’ first Heavy Metal and Hard Rock Society Fundraiser!

SocHMHRInc. Presents HELLRAISER FEST is headlined by heritage Auckland metal act SUBTRACT.

SUBTRACT are without a doubt New Zealands’ premier groove metal act. Period. With 5 national tours under their belt SUBTRACT have crushed audiences all over NZ and have supported international acts including – Helmet, Slayer, Ozzy Osbourne, Fear Factory, Opeth and Lamb of God. They have played at both the Big Day Out and the Vans Warped Tour and have now joined forces with Evan Short of CONCORD DAWN fame to reach new heights of dizzying insanity. Do not miss SUBTRACT!

The colossal SLIPPING TONGUE is next on the bill. Fronted by an award winning front lady, Slipping Tongue provokes audiences into frenzy with luscious melodic verses and bone breaking choruses. SLIPPING TONGUE has an extensive career spanning over six years of “brew”tality. SLIPPING TONGUE are currently releasing their next feature length album featuring a series of video clips that when played consecutively become a short feature film.

NEVER REPENTs’ technical style of deathcore features third on the bill. NEVER REPENT are quickly becoming Aucklands’ most defiant success, having been established for less then a year they have already been secured to open for PIG DESTROYER (Virginia USA) and BEYOND TERROR BEYOND GRACE (Sydney, Aust).

BLOODLETTING is the fourth billing and are forging their own version of classic melodic thrash. BLOODLETTING dominate the stage with tech-tonic blasts and an uncompromising stage presence. BLOODLETTING are currently recording their latest material and are working on a video for release in the next month.

The hard rocking KULUS will take the stage at 9:30pm. KULUS have recently finished recording their debut EP at Auckland’s prestigious Creative House Studios in Parnell and are set to blow audiences out of the water with their unique hybrid sound that equally draws from Faith no More, early Metallica and the Misfits.

INITIAL are second on the bill and have recently been turning heads at venues all around Auckland. INITIAL’s sound is reminiscent of tool, early incubus and helmet. INITIAL have recently featured on ALT tv’s ROCKZILLA and bFMs’ Hard Fast and Heavy show.

REVERENCE kick the evening off with hard grooving classic stoner rock grooves. REVERENCE are fast making a name for themselves with their KYUSS stylized classic rock songs.

But that’s not all….

The HELLRAISER FEST kicks off with at 7pm. OBLIVION bar staff will be having a mixology demonstration. Showing punters how to mix cocktails using commonly accessible spirits. In aid of the societies responsible drinking campaign, Oblivions’ bar staff will also teach punters how to make "mocktails". These feature drinks will be on special throughout the evening.

Then at 8pm as part of message about responsible hosting/ drinking we will be supplying a free BBQ to the attending punters.

Guest Djs also include Chris Yong (REDLINE, ROCKZILLA), Dale (HARD FAST & HEAVY) and Gareth Craze (RW Entertainment).

If you want to see this show, then you must arrive early. There are a limited amount of door sales (150 tickets). Promoters expect this show to sell out before 9pm – Event is R18.
