Disturbed with special guests P.O.D., Alter Bridge, and redline.

TICKETS ON SALE Thursday 10 July at 9.00am.

Frontier Members pre-sale tickets will be available via frontiertouring.com from Tuesday 8 July.

“People never lose their desire for aggressive music. And we’re happy to keep giving it to them.” – David Draiman, Disturbed.

Music fans rejoice in the return of Disturbed to New Zealand in September. Support for this tour will come from P.O.D., Alter Bridge, and redline.

Over their 12 year lifespan in the music industry Disturbed have reached the highs most bands only dream of. Selling in excess of ten million albums worldwide, Disturbed’s renaissance has truly begun following the release of their fourth album Indestructible (out now through Warner Music).

Front man, David Draiman announced of Indestructible: “I don’t want to sound arrogant but I think we’ve made the kind of record the industry needs right now.” And the fans have agreed. Defying current trends, the album debuted at #1 on the Billboard, ARIA and RIANZ charts. Indestructible is the group’s darkest and angriest output to date; a result of experimentation in the studio and the band taking control of production duties.

Renowned for their fierce live performances, Disturbed are sure to set the stage alight when they hit major cities across New Zealand this September.

P.O.D. will return to New Zealand in support of their latest release When Angels and Serpents Dance. With an impressive seven studio albums and over seven million album sales under their belt, not to mention hits like ‘Youth of the Nation’, ‘Alive’ and ‘Addicted’, P.O.D. (aka Payable On Death) will stun you with their sheer ferocity this September!

Alter Bridge rose from the ashes of the multiplatinum selling Creed when they disbanded in 2004. They found success following the release of debut album One Day Remains with ‘Metalingus’ chosen as the theme song for the Rated R Superstar, Edge. Release of their sophomore record Blackbird is a heavier affair and has drawn the band further success debuting at #4 on the Billboard Rock Album chart. Get ready to rock with Alter Bridge this year!

redline will kick off proceedings in New Zealand. Having previously opened for Disturbed, these boys will feel at home on the arena stages. The release of their debut record Trapped Inside saw redline establish themselves as one of New Zealand’s most progressive rock bands. Having supported Evanescence, The Bleeders and performing at the inaugural Metal Day Out Festival, redline will bring it this year.

To be honest I find disturbed rather disturbing our 17 year old daughter however loves the music and it seams to get her out of a unhappy or depressed mood. she plays disturbed most days and says that it is the best band in the world ... I would love to win this for her as we cant afford to send her to see them live ... Terri will be the one rocking the street with disturbed music and I will be the one with ear plugs in

Well I use aggressive music as therapy. Basically it helps me vent my frustrations and anger in a healthy way. I love to jump around madly, limbs going in all directions and screeching the lyrics. You may have guessed already, but I generally only do this on my own as it can look and sound rather terrible. It always makes me feel better though so if someone does see me ...... well who cares I am having fun :-) awahahahah!!!

Aggressive music is best experienced in the middle of a mosh. It's a piece of art where your body is the canvas, jolting and moving, ending with a masterpiece of bruises and cuts, if you're lucky.

It is good to feel part of music - all spare anxieties and thoughts swept away- then emptied - Greek theatre did it too - produced catharsis

It makes me sleepy - after jumping around, blowing off steam like a maniac, I suddenly feel all woosey and all I want is to climb into bed

  • avatar

    Grant Mortensen 4 years ago

Aggresive music allows me to "blow off steam" without causing problems for anyone else. It's like you can live vicariously thru the singer and the words and attitude's he uses when performing. Disturbed are one of the best around, they provide angry and agressive beats, but still beats that you can move too, it's not just an angry young man screaming at the wall incoherently. it's well thought out and powerful lyrics combined with superior sound, music you can move to. I think Phil Anselmo (Pantera) said it best "the realeasing of anger can better any medicine under the sun"

Listening to Disturbed helps me to relax, chill and get into my own head space after a hectic day, or when something is just stringing me out, my flatmate and I love to go for cruises and just crank disturbed on the stereo and forget about the world for a bit.

Listening to aggressive music gives me the energy to do all the household chores with determination and the elbow grease needed! And the dancing in between jobs is the best workout!

I LOVE aggressive music. It blasts my ears with good taste and none of this sissy girly music. My kids are hardcore little rock fans in the making. WE LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Aggressive music for me gets me amped for the gym and makes me workout harder as well as blocking out the pop music they have playing there and the puffing of fellow gym members!
